Hi! I am Leslie Zander, and my story starts with a box of crayons and a coloring book...
What I discovered was that I didn’t simply want to color someone else’s designs; I wanted to create my own. And so, at the ripe old age of five, I knew that I was destined to work as a creative when I “grew up.”
After graduating with a degree in graphic design, I began working as a graphic designer in the exhibit industry, initially taking portable trade show exhibits from concept through production. Soon I was managing a team of three designers.
After five years, I began working as a senior graphic designer at a high-end custom exhibit fabricator where I was responsible for the concept, design, and production of graphics for trade show and museum exhibits, showrooms and other special events. I also designed coordinating marketing materials, acting as a project manager to take them from concept through print production while maintaining the client’s brand.
After working in the exhibit industry for fifteen years, I felt called to join a small in-house communication team at a large church where I have been using my creative gifts and past experience to their mission for the last 15 years. Working with non-profits is something I’m really passionate about!
I also accept freelance clients for print, digital, and exhibit projects.
I am a unique hybrid of graphic designer and project manager, creative director and problem solver. Highly creative, extremely organized, and deadline oriented, I use the juxtaposition of my corporate and non-secular experience to present fresh, forward-thinking ideas, design, and solutions for small business, large corporations, churches, and non-profit organizations.
I live in the Chicago suburbs with my husband and two miracle daughters.
If you would like to discuss working together, by all means, get in touch!
